Interestingly, I have another take on the indefinite supply in Bass Strait with my recent article https://independentaustralia.net/environment/environment-display/how-esso-steals-victorias-water-due-to-the-hidden-impacts-of-gas-exploration,9349
I have been studying the hidden impacts effecting onshore Gippsland from decades of offshore hydrocarbon extraction. See collation of proof on my website.
The govt are still hiding impacts from the public. But the point of the discussion, if Bass Strait actually has decades more of recoverable gas and extract it then the consequential increase in subsidence and aquifer depletion will be disastrous for our economy. Everyone sees Bass Strait as their saviour but nobody knows what they have already destroyed.
