Chatting with ABC Melbourne’s Jon Faine on the Healthscope takeover and the impending transfer of 43 Australian hospitals to a Caribbean tax haven. Victoria, with 18 Healthscope hospitals and clinics, may have more at stake than any other state. The deal needs the Treasurer’s approval to proceed.
Healthscope apparently told the ABC the story was false. Questions however have been put to both Healthscope and its suitor Brookfield. Both parties have been given a number of opportunities over many weeks to respond. No response has been forthcoming.
